System Installations

Our 2-way Internet terminals work with microwave transmitters. Due to safety regulations and as misadjustment might cause interference on the satellite, we recommend to ask a specialist for correct antenna pointing.

Companies which do installation of TV dishes usually know how to install satellite systems and have the measurement equipment needed to do a proper installation. Preferably the installer should also have IP and routing knowledge.

Standard Installations

Standard installations include:

• antenna adjustment to the right satellite
• cross polarisation check
• configuration of the gateway
• performance test and troubleshooting

To prepare the site, the customer has to set up the antenna in a location with a clear view to the Southern sky and has to wire the modems to his computer network. The modems need to be located in a dry place and not too far from the customers PCs, as they need to be connected to the Ethernet interface of the unit. Modems have to be connected to the antenna with a RG6 or RG11 excellent shielded antenna cable, supplied with all level421 bundles. The cable comes with the suitable connectors.

The standard installation usually takes 2 hours.
